De-cluttering your fianances

Every January people de-clutter their homes in order to start new. We de-clutter our clothes, offices, refrigerators etc but no one talks about de-cluttering our finances!

Here are a few things you can do to feel less overwhelmed!

1. Print your last three months of statements to write a budget/ see where your money is going!

2. Use the statements or an app like rocket money to see what extra things you are paying for that you can cancel!

3. Unsubscribe from emails and texts from stores that make you want to impulse spend

4. Go into your phone and delete/ manage your subscriptions

5. Do an audit to see where you spend the most amount of money (eating out, groceries, target runs, clothes etc…) and challenge yourself to spend less in those categories.

Remember, you get to tell your money where it goes and if you are overwhelmed with how much is going out start here! Its definitely harder when you’ve already cut back as much as you can and its your housing/ bills that take up the majority of your pay BUT you can always start here and then look at the bigger money pits.
