Just a few of my favorite things

I know a majority of the people who will read this are nurses, but I wanted to share some of my favorite things that I have gotten as gifts/budgeted for in the past. Whether you put these items on your holiday list or if you splurge on them in the New Year, these are items that I have/would budget for regardless because they are comfortable or make my work/home life better in some way. 

First up we have this loungewear set. Nothing is better than coming home after a long day and putting on something super comfy and soft. Some days when I get out I just need to decompress on my couch and nothing beats putting on soft clothes and curling up with a blanket while I scroll through a streaming service.

Next are my Brooks sneakers. As a nurse, I am sure you know, we are hard on our shoes! When you work on your feet and never stop moving, wearing your shoes ragged is just a reality. Having been a nurse for a while now, these Brooks are my tried and true. Their comfort level and ability to last are unparalleled in my opinion. They are on the higher end for the cost of sneakers, but I’d rather spend more on shoes that I know will keep my feet and legs from being in pain from discomfort. 

Next is my drinkware! I have Stanley tumblers that I love!! The link below is for a 30 ounce but I also really like the 40 ounce ones. They fit in car cup holders AND have a handle AND stay cold for an entire day (in my experience). As a nurse, I am sure I do not have to explain the importance of hydrating to you, and I know it may sound weird, but I find it easier to remember to drink my water when I enjoy the drinkware. 

My other favorite are these glass tumblers. These are more for after hours, either when I am home and either making an iced coffee or pouring a cocktail. I love the look, and with the lids they even tend to keep my drinks cooler for longer. This is definitely more of an at-home creature comfort.
