Mid-Year Review

This is inflation is crazy, huh? I figured this week we could talk a little about it because it is affecting EVERYONE. Whether you are a nurse or not that 8.6% inflation rate is definitely leaving an imprint on everyone's finances.

First and foremost you should do a mid-year review of your personal financial situation, inflation or not, this should be done regardless.

I have provided a checklist. Add all your +1’s if you have more than 5 you may want to consider taking advantage of the summer sale on my 3 Phases to Financial Freedom self-paced course with code SUMMERSALE.

Next, let's cover some tips for how to save or cut costs during this time of inflation

  • Meal plan ( shop your pantry first!)

  • Eat fewer meals with meat

  • Take advantage of pickup/delivery services for less impulse spending

  • Ride share/carpool to work if possible

  • If your shops are grouped near each other try to only go to them once or twice a week to save on gas

  • Sign up for subscriptions that are cheaper than your local market

    • I personally love to use Imperfect Foods. Here is a referral for a discount on your first order.

  • Download and use apps for places you frequent, like your grocery store or other point-accruing apps that offer rebates or gift cards

    • Some of my favorites are Getupside which gives you money back when you purchase gas, and fetch rewards where you can scan your receipts. I also really enjoy using ibotta.

I hope these suggestions offer some ideas on how to save a little during this crazy time!
